Changes to mental health and incapacity legislation

The Carers Trust are carrying out a consultation as part of Scottish Mental Health Law Review around proposed changes to mental health and incapacity law and services.

They have produced a series of briefing papers for unpaid carers:

  • Briefing Paper – Role of unpaid carer
  • Briefing Paper – Supported decision making

They want to hear from unpaid carers and parent/carers who care for someone who is autistic or who is experiencing a mental illness, a learning disability or dementia.

To do this they have set up a series of Zoom meetings on:

  • 20th April 6.30pm – 8.30pm
  • 27th April 6.30pm – 8.30pm
  • 3rd May 1.30pm – 3.30pm

You can join any of the above Zoom meetings on this link

Meeting ID: 868 5465 0271

You can attend any one of the meetings and you don’t have to stay for the full two hours. You can have your say and go or stay and listen to others.
