We are currently running three grant programmes to help carers. The ScotSpirit and Breaks from Caring Funds welcome applications from carers who need financial support to take a break from their caring situation. The Carer Financial Insecurity Fund offers small grants to carers who are struggling to afford basic essentials.
Click on the titles below for more information about each fund and how to apply.
This scheme enables carers to enjoy a two to three night subsidised overnight break or a day out at a visitor attraction in Scotland.
This scheme helps carers, including parent carers and young carers, to take a break from their caring role at home or away by offering grants of up to £300.
This scheme offers carers small grants of up to £80 to carers who are having difficulty covering the cost of food, fuel and other everyday essentials. Higher awards may be made in exceptional circumstances.
If you have any questions about any of the grant schemes we administer, please contact us on 0131 665 0135 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We also have a welfare rights worker in the team who can check that you and the person you care for are getting all the financial support you are entitled to. Please reach out for support if you need it.
