Seasons for Growth is an evidence-based educational programme that draws on the metaphor of the seasons to understand the experience of change, loss and grief. It was designed by Good Grief and is delivered by Carers of East Lothian to anyone currently caring or having previously cared for another.
Grief may be due to any number of experiences: bereavement, relationship breakdown, disability or illness, to name a few. This 4-part small-group programme aims to build resilience and bring peace and hope to adults who have experienced significant change or loss of any kind.
It provides an opportunity to look at how loss and grief have impacted on one’s life, and aims to teach knowledge and skills to help understand and manage the grief experience. Please note that this programme is supportive and peer-led, but does not provide therapy or counselling.
The group will run on 4 consecutive Thursdays between 10:30am and 1pm, beginning 24th February 2022, at East Lothian Community Hospital, Haddington.
